Regarding the Maryland General Assembly’s Special Session

The special session of the General Assembly is May 14th to address the “doomsday budget” passed earlier this month.
BACKGROUND:
A “Doomsday” budget was enacted by the legislature for FY 2013, as a result of their inability to reach an agreement on the full package of budget actions needed to pass.

The “Doomsday” budget ELIMINATED the 2% rate increase for developmental disability services in Maryland.

Your action is needed to ensure that legislators restore the 2% rate increase for DD community supports and services to the FY 2013 budget during the special session!
